CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Eligibility Criteria

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (in accordance with NCTE 2002 Norms). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII) Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). OR
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE Regulations. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. (Special Education). OR
  • Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

  • Visit the official portal ctet.nic.in between 25/08/2026 and 01/09/2026.
  • Click on the "Apply Online for CTET September 2026 (Re-Open)" link.
  • Fill in authentication details (State, Identification Type, Candidate Name, DOB, and Gender) to generate Application Number and Password.
  • Select the paper opting for (Paper I, Paper II, or Both Papers), language preferences (Language I & II), and qualifying educational degree/diploma code.
  • Choose 4 examination city choices in order of preference (Note: Exam city slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis).
  • Upload scanned Photograph (10KB–200KB) and Signature (4KB–30KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
