Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility: Retired employees from various Bihar State Government offices are eligible to apply .
  • Health Requirement: Candidate must produce a valid Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Civil Surgeon at the time of contractual engagement .
  • Experience Priority: In case of higher number of applications, priority will be given based on government service experience. In case of equal experience, the younger applicant will be preferred .

Who Cannot Apply? (Disqualification Conditions)

The services of retired employees will NOT be engaged under the following conditions :
  1. Personnel facing any Vigilance (निगरानी) case .
  2. Personnel currently facing any Departmental Proceedings (विभागीय कार्रवाई) .
  3. Personnel facing serious pending allegations .
  4. Personnel against whom any Criminal Case is registered .
  5. Personnel subjected to major penalty during the last 10 years or any penalty during the last 5 years of service, or pension deduction under Bihar Pension Rules .

Age Limit, Remuneration & Tenure Rules

  • Maximum Age Limit: 65 Years . (Extendable up to 67 years in special circumstances with the consent of Divisional Commissioner) .
  • Initial Tenure: Initially for 2 Years or until regular appointments are made . Extensions can be granted year-by-year up to 65 years after performance review by the District Selection Committee .
  • Honorarium / Remuneration: Calculated as (Last Basic Pay + DA at retirement) minus (Basic Pension + Dearness Relief on pension) as per Bihar General Administration Department rules .
  • Automatic Termination: The contractual service will automatically terminate upon regular recruitment of LDC staff at Collectorate Gopalganj .
