Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Canara Bank, a leading Public Sector Bank with its Head Office in Bengaluru, has invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the engagement of 3,500 Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the Financial Year 2026–27. Candidates with a recognized Bachelor's Degree can submit their application online from 01 October 2026 to 17 October 2026. Prior registration with a 100% complete profile on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal is strictly mandatory.

Educational Qualification & Terms

• Educational Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Govt. of India or equivalent qualification.
• Passing Date Window: Candidates must have passed Graduation not earlier than 01.01.2023 and not later than 01.09.2026 (both days inclusive).
• Minimum Marks: Must have secured minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) in 12th Std (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination.
• Prior Experience Ineligibility: Candidates who have undergone/undergoing apprenticeship training, or have 1 year or more post-qualification job experience, are NOT eligible.
• Local Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in the specified local language of the opted state. Exemption is given if 10th or 12th marksheet shows study of the local language.

Stipend, Duration & Training Details

Selection Process

1. Merit List: Prepared State-wise in descending order based on marks/percentage obtained in 12th Std (HSC/10+2) or Diploma Examination (No written exam).
2. Tie-Breaking: In case of identical percentage, candidates are ranked according to age in descending order (older candidate gets preference).
3. Local Language Test: Conducted during Document Verification (unless studied in 10th/12th).
4. Document Verification & Medical Fitness: Final engagement is subject to document scrutiny and medical clearance.
5. Digital Contract: Selected candidates must accept the digital contract via the NATS portal.

How to Apply for Canara Bank Apprentice 2026

1. Step 1 (Mandatory NATS Registration): Register on the NATS apprenticeship portal (nats.education.gov.in) and ensure 100% complete profile to generate your Enrollment ID.
2. Step 2 (Canara Bank Application): Visit canarabank.bank.in > Careers > Recruitment > "Engagement of Graduate Apprentices 2026-27".
3. Click on "Click Here for New Registration" and enter basic details along with your NATS Enrollment ID.
4. Upload required scanned documents: Photograph (20–50 KB), Signature in black ink (10–20 KB), Left Thumb Impression (20–50 KB), and Handwritten Declaration (50–100 KB).
5. Provide academic details (12th/Diploma percentage) and state preference.
6. Pay the online application fee of ₹500/- (if applicable) through Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
7. Review all data carefully using "Save & Next" before final submission.
8. Download and print the completed application form and fee receipt for document verification.
