CBE Examination Scheme (Paper-I & Paper-II)

    • Total: 200 Questions, 200 Marks, Duration: 2 Hours (Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer).
  • Paper-II (Computer Based Test — Used for Final Merit):
    • Core Technical Paper in respective Engineering / Science Subject: 100 Questions / 300 Marks
    • Duration: 2 Hours | Negative marking: 1 Mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
    • On-screen scientific calculator and tables (IS 456:2000 / Steam Table) are integrated on the exam console.

How to Fill SSC JE 2026 Online Application Form

  1. Visit the new official SSC portal: ssc.gov.in or download the 'mySSC' App from Google Play Store.
  2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) using your mobile number, email, matriculation details, and opt for biometric/Aadhaar authentication. (Old ssc.nic.in registration is invalid).
  3. Log in using your Registration Number and Password.
  4. Under the 'Live Examination' tab, click on 'Apply' for Junior Engineer Examination, 2026.
  5. Select the post, qualifying discipline, exam centers (3 preferences within the same region), and medium of examination.
  6. Capture a Live Photograph through a webcam or the mySSC mobile app in good lighting without wearing a cap or spectacles.
  7. Upload clear scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB, dimensions: 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm).
  8. Pay the application fee of ₹ 100/- online (if applicable) through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Cards before 23/09/2026.
